Short biography
Mathieu Verschraege (1982) is the founder and Managing Director of Mediavista, an independent consultancy on online safety, media literacy and fraud prevention. A former teacher and ICT coordinator, and later a cybercrime and sex crimes detective in a Local Computer Crime Unit, he now advises schools, governments and companies. He contributed to the UNODC Handbook on Effective Communication Practices for the Prevention of Organized Fraud and to the Flemish Action Plan Safe Online, and organises the Hackxposed! Conference.
